final

In the final, Ray Reardon and Doug Mountjoy met the two players who had won the most titles at the Welsh professional championship at that time with two titles each. However, the endgame was a straightforward affair: Reardon safely won the first four frames before Mountjoy could even win a frame. However, Reardon was not impressed and she won the next five frames to win the tournament.
