Welt der Spiele GmbH or WdS was a company based in Frankfurt am Main . Later a company was founded under the name Welt der Spiele Distribution + Marketing GmbH , which was based in Lich .

history

Initially there was a retail outlet that sold imported games. In 1987 the Welt der Spiele GmbH was founded, based in Frankfurt. In August 1998 the company then filed for bankruptcy.

In the summer of 1997 the world of Spiele Distribution + Marketing GmbH (WDS D + M GmbH) was founded, which was based in Lich. The managing directors were Roland Fuhrmann and Michael Goll.

The website of the second company was available until August 2006.

In addition to various role-playing products, the companies sold the German versions of the board games by Gibsons Games , Games Workshop and Avalon Hill .
