Welzigberge

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the 18th and 19th centuries, the Welzigberge were a series of vineyard properties directly to the office in the east of the corridor of Kötzschenbroda , now part of the Saxon town of Radebeul . As the mountains of ownership, they were under the authority of the Dresden-Neustadt District Administration .

In 1803, as the electoral property of Friedrich August I, the region was under the administration of the Upper Elbe wine village of Loschwitz . At that time 55 people lived on the Welzigberge.

Sometime after 1803 the entire vineyard property, which extended up to the Höhenweg, was taken over by Countess Flemming, née. Hohenthal acquired. Originally from Dölkau near Halle (Saale) , Flemming had the Berghaus on the Höhenweg built on the Welzigberg in 1827. As an inheritance, the winery went to Count Hohenthal in 1839, who named his house Paradies , which was also the name of the mountain restaurant that was later popular there . Immediately to the west was the Weinberghaus, which became the Bergschänke Sängerhöhe in the 19th century .

An already existing for over 150 years at that time Winzerhaus was on the rear Welzigberg standing house Barnewitz .
