The Queeny Township is one of 28 townships in St. Louis County in the eastern part of the US -amerikanischen state of Missouri and part of the metropolitan region of Greater St. Louis . In 2010 , Queeny Township had 37,665 residents.

Queeny Township is located in the southwestern suburb of St. Louis on the north bank of the Meramec River . The Missouri River runs approximately 15 km north; the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois , is located around 20 km east of Queeny Township.

The Queeny Township is located at 38 ° 35 '  N , 90 ° 31'  W and extends over 36.8 km².

The Queeny Township is located in the mid-southwest of St. Louis County and borders the Missouri River Township in the north and northeast , the Bonhomme Township in the east, the Meramec Township in the south and southwest , the Wildhorse Township in the west and the Northwest the Lafayette Township .

Missouri State Route 141 runs through the township in a north-south direction . to the north, the township is bounded by Missouri State Route 100 , which runs along the old Route 66 at this point . All other streets within the township are inner-city connecting streets.

Two railway lines run along the Meramec River, the Union Pacific Railroad and the BNSF Railway , on which Amtrak passenger trains also run.

The Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport is located about 25 km northeast of the Queeny Township.

According to the 2010 census , Queeny Township had 37,665 people in 15,712 households. The population density was 1023.5 inhabitants per square kilometer. Statistically, 2.38 people lived in each of the 15,712 households.

The racial the population was composed of 86.3 percent white, 3.1 percent African American, 0.2 percent Native American, 7.1 percent Asian and 1.3 percent from other ethnic groups; 2.1 percent were descended from two or more races. Regardless of ethnicity, 3.5 percent of the population was Hispanic or Latino of any race.
