The Creve Coeur Township is located in the western suburbs of St. Louis . The Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois , is about 25 km east, the Missouri River about 3 km northwest.

The Creve Coeur Township is located in the north-central part of St. Louis County and is bordered to the northeast by the Midland Township , to the east by the University Township , to the southeast by Clayton Township , to the south and southwest by the Missouri River Township, and to the west and northwest to the Maryland Heights Township .

In a north-south direction, Interstate 270 , the western bypass of St. Louis, runs through the center of Creve Coeur Township. US Highway 67 runs parallel to this on the eastern edge of the township . Missouri State Route 340 runs along the northern edge of the township in a west-east direction . All other streets within the township are inner-city connecting streets.
The Lambert-Saint Louis International Airport is located about 10 km north of Creve Coeur Township.
