Dotsiko ( Greek Δοτσικό [ ðɔtsiˈkɔ ] ( n. Sg. )) Is a village in the municipality of Grevena in the Greek region of Western Macedonia .
The mountainous village is located about 30 kilometers west of Grevena at an altitude of 1060 m on the east side of the 1799 m high Skourtza (Greek Σκούρτζα) in the Pindos Mountains . At the 2001 census, Dotsiko had a population of 187 people.
Until the administrative reform of 2010 , the place also formed the rural community of Dotsiko (Κοινότητα Δοτσικού) in the Grevena prefecture, since then it has had the status of a municipality (Δημοτική Ενότητα) of the Grevena municipality.
Trivia
Parts of the film The Great Alexander (Ο Μεγαλέξανδρος) by the Greek director Theo Angelopoulos were shot in Dotsiko.
