Wendelin Seebacher

Wendelin Seebacher (* 1938 in Bremen ) is a German architect and urban planner .

biography

Seebacher is the brother of Brigitte Seebacher -Brandt (* 1946). He graduated from high school in Bremen and studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt from 1957 to 1960 . In 1961 he worked for the architects Rolf Störmer and Martin Zill . In 1962 he continued his studies with a major in urban development (1965 graduate engineer).

From 1965 to 1972 he was an employee and then a building officer at the Bremen City Planning Office. Here he experienced u. a. the development of the planning for the demonstration building project in Bremen Osterholz-Tenever . An urban planning proposal from 1972 for a high boulevard from Sögestraße to Bahnhofstraße was not pursued any further.

From 1973 to 1994 he was head of urban development of the then urban Bremen Society for urban renewal, urban development and housing , which, among other things, the time redevelopment area Ostertorviertel as redevelopment agency supervised.

From 1994 to 2002 he was managing director of STAVE Stadtentwicklung Vegesack GmbH.
