Wendell Castle
Wendell Castle (born November 6, 1932 in Emporia , Kansas , † January 20, 2018 in Scottsville , New York ), was an American furniture artist and a leading artisan.
He lived in Rochester , New York. In 1980 he founded the Wendell Castle School in Scottsville, New York. Castle has received several awards including a. 1994 “Visionary of the American Crafts Movement” award from the American Crafts Museum .
