When the father with the son is a total of 13-part television series by ORF and ARD . The scripts were written by Fritz Eckhardt , who also played the role of father Eduard Haslinger . Directed by Hermann Kugelstadt . The son Fredy Haslinger was played by Peter Weck .
Father and son run a family business together. Both are unmarried and live in one household, but are each looking for a suitable wife. An aunt (played by Jane Tilden ) keeps bringing potential candidates, but only in the last episode do the two find their happiness and get married. The episodes were 60 minutes long.
In 2009 the 13 episodes were released in a DVD box (5 DVDs).
