Who can can! USA (Original title: Nailed It! ) Is an American television show by the video-on-demand provider Netflix . In the show, three amateur bakers compete to bake the specified, creatively designed cakes or sweets as precisely as possible. The first broadcast took place on March 9, 2018. The originally German title Das Yellow vom Ei was changed by Netflix in the summer of 2019.

format

A program consists of two rounds in which three amateur bakers compete against each other. In the first round, called Baker's Choice , the candidates have to choose one from three existing sweets and then recreate it within the time specified by the jury. The jury consists of the presenter Nicole Byer and the chocolatier and confectioner Jacques Torres , as well as a guest juror who changes for each program. After the time has elapsed, the newly created confectionery will be assessed by the jury according to appearance and taste. The winner of this round receives a special prize - such as B. a food processor - and a gold chef's hat that he must wear in the second round.

In the second round of Nail It or Fail It , the candidates are given considerably more time than in the first round to bake and redesign an elaborately designed cake. Each candidate receives a "panic button". When pressing this button, the candidate receives three minutes of support from a jury member. The candidate with the worst performance in the first round also receives a head which, if activated, can impair the work of the other two candidates, e.g. B. two minutes of activity ban. The function of this button varies depending on the broadcast. After the time has elapsed, the cakes created are judged as in the first round. The winner of the second round will receive a cash prize of $ 10,000 and a trophy.
