Jay Chandrasekhar

Jayanth Jambulingam Chandrasekhar (born April 9, 1968 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor , comedian , screenwriter , director and member of the comedy group Broken Lizard .

Life

Chandrasekhar is the son of two doctors of Tamil origin, both from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu .

He went to school at Lake Forest Academy and graduated from Colgate University , where he was part of the comedy troupe Charred Goosebeak along with the other later Broken Lizard members .

He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Student Association.

Chandrasekhar is best known for directing Ein Duke Seldom Comes Alone, as well as for the Broken Lizard films Super Troopers , Club Mad, and Bierfest . He also appeared as the taxi driver for the "Terror Taxi" in the movie Jackass: Number Two . He was awarded the 2006 Golden Raspberry for directing Ein Duke Seldom Comes Alone .

He is the cousin of the actor Sendhil Ramamurthy , who plays the role of Mohinder Suresh in the television series Heroes .

He currently resides in Mahopac , New York.
