Many related apprenticeships can be completed with a shorter apprenticeship period, such as B. bricklayers , formwork builders or production technicians . The training content largely corresponds to that of German precast concrete manufacturers . Numerous subject-specific advanced training courses are available as well as training to become a foreman . In Austria there is the possibility of higher qualifications at colleges, technical colleges and universities. For this purpose, applicants usually need the vocational school leaving certificate (Berufsreifeprüfung), which consists of the final apprenticeship examination and four other exams.
