Werner Büdeler

Werner Büdeler (born May 20, 1928 ; † June 15, 2004 in Überlingen am Bodensee ) was a German specialist journalist and non-fiction author, as well as a member of the board of the German Aerospace Society .

Life

He wrote on many subjects in the natural sciences and technology , but his focus was on astronomy and especially space travel . He was not only active as an author , but was also the editor of the magazine "Weltraumfahrt / Raketentechnik" for years and designed numerous television programs . For example, he was a reporter for ARD in Cape Canaveral and Houston during the Apollo and Skylab flights .

In 1970 he was awarded the Jules Verne Medal for his services to space journalism.
