Werner Brenner

Werner Brenner (born September 25, 1951 ) is an Austrian teacher and politician ( SPÖ ). Brenner was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 2005 to 2010 .

Life

Werner Brenner attended elementary and secondary school as well as the vocational school. Then Brenner graduated from the Vocational Education Academy. He is a professional HTL teacher.

politics

Brenner has been a councilor in the market town of Lockenhaus since 1987 and was elected mayor of the market town of Lockenhaus in 1997. From 1997 he was mayor of the Lockenhaus community. Brenner also has the function of a board member in the social democratic association of community representatives. He represented the SPÖ from October 25, 2005 in the Burgenland state parliament and was in the XIX. Legislative period member of the Agriculture Committee and the Legal Committee. Brenner was also the SPÖ area spokesman for traffic and traffic safety - infrastructure. After Brenner was only ranked fourth in the SPÖ district election proposal for the Oberpullendorf state electoral district in the 2010 state elections in Burgenland , he left the state parliament on June 24, 2010. He subsequently announced that he would return to his job as a teacher and devote himself more to his office as mayor. In 2012 Christian Vlasich succeeded him as Mayor of Lockenhaus.
