Werner Esswein

Werner Esswein (born December 17, 1955 in Munich ) is a German business IT specialist who has specialized in system development and modeling. He has been teaching at the TU Dresden since 1993 .

Life

Esswein studied business administration at the University of Augsburg from 1979 to 1984 . From 1984 until his doctorate in 1987, Esswein was a research assistant at the chair for business administration at the University of Regensburg . In 1987/88 he worked as a consultant in various central departments at Siemens AG . From 1989 to 1993 he was assistant at the chair for business informatics at the University of Bamberg , before he moved to the Technical University of Dresden in 1993, where he has held the chair for business informatics, especially system development , since 1994 . From 1997 to 2000 he was Dean of the Faculty of Economics. From 1998 he was managing director of Dresden exists , an initiative for young entrepreneurs, for several years before Michael Schefczyk took over this position.

Esswein is also the managing director of the consulting company semture GmbH in Dresden.
