Werner Grabher

Werner Grabher (* 1948 in Warth ) is an Austrian author and former head of the Vorarlberg cultural office.

Life

Grabher grew up in Lustenau and studied philosophy, psychology, pedagogy and German in Innsbruck and Vienna . From 1971 to 1990 he was a teacher at various schools and educational institutions, from 1991 to 2000 director of the college for business professions and the high school in Riedenburg. From 2000 to 2012 he headed the culture department in the office of the Vorarlberg state government, and since 2003 he has been president of the culture commission of the International Lake Constance Conference . He writes prose and plays. Grabher took part in actionist readings, received the state scholarship for drama and the advancement award for science and art of the state of Vorarlberg.
