Werner Hausmann (politician)

Werner Hausmann (born March 25, 1816 in Münster , † February 27, 1883 ) was a German doctor and politician .

Life

Werner Hausmann studied medicine at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1835 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Bonn . After graduating, he settled in Düsseldorf as a general practitioner. Most recently he lived there as a pensioner.

Hausmann was an alderman for the city of Düsseldorf. From 1877 he sat as a member of the constituency of Düsseldorf IV (city and district of Düsseldorf) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the German Progressive Party . On January 25, 1878, he lost the mandate by declaring it invalid. From 1881 until his death in 1883 Hausmann was chairman of the art association for the Rhineland and Westphalia ,
