Werner Kaiser (born May 18, 1943 ) is a former German soccer player who played second division soccer in GDR soccer from 1966 to 1970 for the Army Sports Association (ASG) Vorwärts Meiningen .

Athletic career

In the 1961/62 season Werner Kaiser played for the first men's team BSG Motor Koethen and became district champion Halle with this and rose to the 2nd GDR league . In 1962/63 he was appointed to the Halle district league after a 2-1 win against Motor Dessau . In 1964 he was delegated to the soccer team of the SC Chemie Halle . In 1965 he joined the Army Sports Association (ASG) Vorwärts in Dermbach, Thuringia . After Werner Kaiser had played there until 1966 in the third-rate district league Suhl , he moved to the second-rate GDR league team forward in Meiningen for the 1966/67 season . There he was a regular attacker for four seasons. Of the 120 GDR league games played in this period, Kaiser played 106 matches and was one of the Meininger's most successful goal scorers each season. In total, he came to 38 point goals. After his discharge from the National People's Army , he joined the Halle district league club BSG Motor Köthen in 1970 . There he finally ended his active career as a football player. From 1971 he was a trainer, among other things in the junior division and in the 1st men's team of CFC Germania 03 .
