The Robinson Glacier is a glacier on the Knox Coast of the East Antarctic Wilke country . It flows into the Mawson Sea between Merrit Island and the Reist Rocks .
The American cartographer Gardner Dean Blodgett (* 1925) mapped it in 1955 using aerial photographs of the American Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1955 after R. P. Robinson, steward of the purser on the sloop USS Vincennes , flagship of the United States Exploring Expedition (1838-1842) under the direction of the US polar explorer Charles Wilkes .
