Werner Kluth (born July 5, 1924 in Marburg ; † April 6, 2015 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Here he was involved in founding the local SPD association in 1960 and immediately began a career in local politics. He later acquired expertise in local public administration in evening classes.

Political offices

From 1964 he held the office of mayor of the municipality of Oberwalluf, until Oberwalluf and Niederwalluf voluntarily merged to form the municipality of Walluf on October 1, 1971 in the run-up to the regional reform in Hesse . During his tenure in Oberwalluf, the new development areas on Eilweg and in the area Paradies-, Gartenfeld- and Liebaustraße were developed.

Surprisingly, the SPD man Kluth was elected mayor by the Wallufer municipal council in 1976, regardless of a majority from the CDU and BVW. He held this office until October 14, 1982. He did not have a political majority during his tenure.
