Werner Liebrecht (soccer player)
Werner Liebrecht (born March 28, 1935 ) is a former German football player. Between 1955 and 1957 he played for Lokomotive Stendal in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .
Athletic career
When a transition round was held in GDR football in the fall of 1955 in order to play every calendar year from 1956 onwards, the 20-year-old Werner Liebrecht came in for the first time in three matches in the single round for the company sports community (BSG) Lokomotive Stendal, which was shortened to 13 matches the top division for use. He was called up as a striker. In the league season 1956 he was not used. In the game year 1957 Werner Liebrecht was still set up in a league match in the second half of the season. In the following three seasons he was not part of the first team of the BSG Lok. Only in the 1960 season, in which Lok Stendal played as a relegated league in the second-rate GDR league , Werner Liebrecht was involved in the resurgence of the Stendal with a point game. After that, he no longer appeared in higher-class football.
