Werner Lippert

Werner Lippert (born December 31, 1950 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German art historian and communication expert.

biography

After studying medicine and art history in Aachen and Bonn, he worked as an art critic and exhibition organizer. Werner Lippert published the magazine EXTRA from 1974. From 1977 he worked as a copywriter, creative director at Team / BBDO, McCann, Markenplan and as managing director of TBWA-Düsseldorf. In 1987 he founded his own advertising agency in Düsseldorf ("Lippert Wilkens Partner"). Customers included companies such as 3M, WASO Verlag, Burda Verlag and others. One of the great successes is a. the introduction of the magazine FOCUS . Here Werner Lippert created the term for a new target group with “Info-Elite” . With Ettore Sottsass he created a “global village” for the Focus presentations .

From 1995 to 1997 Lippert was chairman of the Kunstverein in Düsseldorf . Since April 1996, together with Petra Wenzel, he has been a managing partner of "Projects Corporate Culture Consultants GmbH" , which advises companies and institutions on the implementation of corporate culture and communication projects. Projects and customers included: Sponsoring Hugo Boss / Guggenheim Museum, DaimlerChrysler, Munich Re, Deutsche Bank, HypoVereinsbank and Financial Times Deutschland. Marketing and PR was organized for the 2010 Quadrennial of the City of Düsseldorf, u. a. as well as exhibition projects such as the EXPO appearance of Burda Verlag 2000 or the central part of the exhibition “Entry - New Worlds of Design” at Zeche Zollverein Essen, 2006 (together with Peter Wippermann). Lippert and Wenzel oversaw the first global art sponsorship project between Hugo Boss AG and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum for several years, developing merchandising and shop projects with Laurie Anderson a. a.

From 1998 to 2013 he and Petra Wenzel headed the exhibition management of the NRW-Forum Düsseldorf with exhibitions on Herb Ritts , Peter Lindbergh , Anton Corbijn , Alexander McQueen , Vivienne Westwood , Bruce Nauman etc. The NRW-Forum was awarded the Medici-Nadel for its innovative productions and the best overall institutional concept. Lippert is the author of numerous specialist books on art, art sponsorship and advertising and the founding editor of the “Annual Multimedia” . In 2009 he was appointed cluster manager for the cultural and creative industries by the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Economic Affairs .
