Werner Mühl

Werner Mühl (born November 26, 1937 in Kandel ) is a Palatinate dialect poet who also works as an author and local researcher .

Literary activity

In the 1960s, Mühl began to write poetry and later also prose in the dialect of the southern Palatinate . He was often the winner of the dialect contests in Bockenheim an der Weinstrasse and Dannstadt-Schauernheim . There, in the finals of the Palatinate poets' contest with the largest number of participants, he achieved his greatest successes: two wins and nine placings between 2nd and 4th place.

In addition to his activities in dialect poetry, Mühl is also active as a local researcher and chronicler of his hometown Kandel. His publications are regularly u. a. to be found in the daily newspaper Die Rheinpfalz and the weekly newspaper Der Pilger , as well as in books about the Palatinate region .
