Werner Reiss

Werner Reiss (* 1941 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Catholic theologian , lawyer and philosopher .

Life

Werner Reiss graduated in 1963 with a degree in Law from. He entered the Jesuit order and began to study philosophy (1971 doctorate in theology at the University of Innsbruck ).

He headed the international cultural center of Caritas , he worked as a lecturer for political theory of the 20th century at the University of Vienna and as a lecturer for philosophy of the arts at the Vienna Art Academy .

In addition, he taught as a teacher at several technical vocational secondary schools ( HTL ). Since the mid-1990s he has been the rector of the Johannes Nepomuk Chapel on Vienna's Währinger Gürtel .

Werner Reiss is in addition to his work as rector, spiritual assistant of the cath. Academy Association of Austria, President of the Kolping Family Wien-Währing and chairman of the Kulturbogen association.
