Werner Schiewek (* 1959 in Kiel ) is a German Protestant theologian, lecturer in ethics in the police profession at the German Police University and state police pastor of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia.

Life

Werner Schiewek studied Protestant theology with a focus on ethics , church and religious sociology at the University of Hamburg and the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster . After the first theological exam in 1988, he was a research assistant at the Institute for Christian Social Sciences with Karl-Wilhelm Dahm at the Evangelical Theological Faculty of the University of Münster in Münster. From 1993 to 1995 Schiewek completed a vicariate at the evangelical Paul Gerhardt parish in Kiel-Dietrichsdorf , which he completed with the 2nd theological exam. Then he was pastor at the Martin Luther King parish in the Hamburg district of Steilshoop .

Since 2001 Schiewek has been a lecturer at the Council of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) for ethics in the police profession at the German Police University (DHPol) in Münster-Hiltrup and the state police pastor of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia (EKvW) ( cf.Polizeiseelsorge ).
