Werner Stuhlmeier

Werner Stuhlmeier (born December 18, 1960 in Straubing ) is a German economist and professor of economics at the University of Koblenz-Landau , Landau campus.

Life

Stuhlmeier studied economics at the University of Regensburg from 1982 to 1988 , where he worked as a Dr. rer. pole. received his PhD. He completed his habilitation with Bert Rürup and was appointed adjunct professor for finance and economic policy at the Technical University of Darmstadt in 2004 . From November 2004 to March 2006 he represented the chair for economics at the University of Koblenz-Landau (Campus Landau), to which he was appointed full professor for economics from SS 2006.

Research priorities

His interests and research focuses on labor market theory and policy, the effects of migration and demographic change on social security, the possibilities and implications of an interlinking of tax and social systems, the employment effects of the tax and transfer system, and social and employment policy implications the EMU.

Stuhlmeier is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Netzwerk Grundeinkommen , the German organization in the Basic Income Earth Network (BIEN) for an unconditional basic income .
