history

It was founded in February 2002 under the name HMY Airways by businessman David Ho Ting-kwok. Operations started with a flight to Mazatlán Airport in November of the same year. In May 2004 the name was changed to Harmony Airways. A flight connection to Hawaii followed in June.

The plan to operate flights to the People's Republic of China , however, could not be realized due to several missed deadlines with regard to the submission of applications and documents. After a few route cancellations, Harmony Airways initially only planned a fleet reduction in March 2007, although the complete cessation of flight operations and the termination of all employment relationships were announced a few days later, on March 27th. The company justified this with increasing cost pressure and competition from other airlines.

Destinations

Harmony Airways operated primarily flights from Canadian airports to destinations in the United States .

fleet

When operations ceased in March 2007, the Harmony Airways fleet consisted of four Boeing 757-200s .

Two of the machines were bought by the engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce after they had stopped operating . He removed the engines in order to continue using them on his own behalf and to scrap the remaining aircraft fuselages.
