Sunwing Airlines is a Canadian charter airline based in Toronto and a subsidiary of Sunwings Vacations (a 49% subsidiary of TUI ).

history

The tour operator Sunwing Vacation started flight operations with its own charter company Sunwing Airlines in November 2005 and initially offered flights from Canada to Mexico, the Dominican Republic , Cuba , the Caribbean and national destinations.

In March 2013, the discontinuation of seasonal flights to Europe , including Rome and Barcelona , was announced.

Destinations

Most destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean are served by Toronto-Pearson , Montreal-Trudeau and Ottawa . But Sunwing also flies to these destinations from many other Canadian airports. In the United States, flights to Las Vegas and several destinations in Florida are served. Nationally the route Vancouver –Toronto exists and several airports on Newfoundland are connected with Toronto.
