Werner Sonvico

Werner Sonvico (born September 21, 1918 - December 17, 1989 ) was an Austrian journalist .

Live and act

In 1950 he completed a six-month training course at the Missouri School of Journalism, University of Missouri, together with several other young Austrian journalists (including Hugo Portisch ) .

As the author of the TV column The TV , he was the first Austrian television critic in 1962 . From 1974 until his retirement in 1985 he was the head of the cultural department of the daily Linzer Tagblatt and a critical observer of the local cultural scene. From 1986 he was president of the Mühlviertel artists' guild .
