Werner Stamm (born March 6, 1912 in Solingen ; † April 6, 1993 ibid) was a German police bandmaster and composer .

Werner Stamm was commissioned as police master in 1956 to found a new police music corps in Wuppertal . He later switched to the music corps of the Dortmund Police Department (today the State Police Orchestra of North Rhine-Westphalia ). There he retired on March 13, 1972 as police chief inspector. As a composer he wrote, among other things, in 1950 the hit When the water in the Rhine golden wine Please consider which of Willy Schneider was sung, and the operetta in 1955 Zeltinger Himmelreich , every two years in the wine town since the late 1980s again Zeltingen-Rachtig listed becomes. In 2012, on the occasion of Stamm's 100th birthday, the community of Zeltingen-Rachtig decided to honor the composer with a plaque.
