Wernfried Maltusch

Wernfried Maltusch (born November 15, 1926 in Sauo , Niederlausitz , † November 16, 2014 in Berlin ) was a German radio functionary. In 1989/90 he was the deputy general manager of the GDR radio .

Maltusch came to the German Academy of Sciences in East Berlin in 1952 , where he received his doctorate in 1966. He then worked for the radio in the GDR. In 1972, under Rudi Singer , he was relieved of his office.

In 1989, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Wernfried Maltusch became deputy general director of the GDR radio. He died on November 16, 2014 at the age of 88 in his home in the Johannisthal district of Berlin after a brief serious illness.
