Career

society

Promise began his career in Nigeria's 2nd division with Grays International . There he drew attention to himself with his performances at major clubs in Europe. Promise was together with John Obi Mikel from Manchester United invited to trial. However, Manchester United did not find him good enough for the Premier League . Shortly thereafter, Promise was at Feyenoord Rotterdam before signing a contract . However, he later decided to sign for the Turkish club Gençlerbirliği Ankara . His first game for his new club was on August 5, 2005. Isaac made his first goal on September 17, 2005 in a league game against local rivals MKE Ankaragücü . By the end of his contract on June 30, 2008, the Nigerian played for Gençlerbirliği in the Süper Lig 92 games and scored 29 goals. After his contract with Gençlerbirliği Ankara had expired and was no longer renewed, Trabzonspor signed him on a free transfer. His contract ran for four years.

In the summer of the 2009/10 season, Promise moved to Manisaspor . Here he quickly established himself as a top performer and experienced his best time in the 2011/12 season. Here he became one of the most successful strikers in the league with eleven league goals. After his club missed relegation, Promise announced that they wanted to leave the club. In the summer of 2012 he moved to the first division club MP Antalyaspor on a free transfer . After Antalyaspor also missed relegation in the summer of 2014, Promise also left this club and moved to Saudi Arabia to al-Ahli . Already for the second half of the 2014/15 season he returned to the Turkish Süper Lig and hired the promoted Balıkesirspor . Also with this club he rose to the end of the season in the TFF 1st Lig .

For the 2015/16 season he signed a preliminary contract with the first division club Mersin İdman Yurdu . Since the club had a transfer ban that was valid until spring 2016, Promise could only have accrued for its new club after the transfer ban had expired. Before this contract could become valid, it was canceled again. After these developments, Promise hired second division Kardemir Karabükspor in January 2016 . For the second half of the 2016/17 season he was loaned to the second division club Giresunspor . When his contract ended in summer 2017, he remained without a club in the following season. In January 2019, Promise joined the US second division club Austin Bold FC and played there until his death in October 2019.

At the U-20 World Cup in 2005 , Promise led his team as captain to the final, where they had to admit defeat to Argentina with 1: 2 and thus became vice world champion.
