Wessbecher Glacier

The Wessbecher Glacier is a glacier in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It flows between Wilson Peak and Marze Peak at the southern end of the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1957 and 1959. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1961 after Howard Otto Wessbecher (* 1925), member of the winter team at the McMurdo station in 1956 and logistician for the construction of the South Pole station in the same year.
