The T 23 and 24 railcars are diesel railcars that were procured by the Württembergische Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (WEG), then used by Westerwaldbahn GmbH (WEBA) on the Daadetalbahn until 2009 and are now owned by the Krumbach IGEBA engineering company.

WEG had the two vehicles built by Gmeinder and Auwärter in 1968 for use on the Nürtingen – Neuffen branch line. The drive is implemented by two Büssing motors each with an output of 154 kW (210 hp),  each of which drives one axle via a Voith 501 gearbox . Thanks to multiple control, they could also be used together.

WEG used the two new railcars to transport heavy limestone trains between a quarry near Neuffen and a cement works in Nürtingen . In order to make shunting operations easier, the WEG provided the railcars and the two end cars of the limestone trains with Scharfenberg couplers . After the lime traffic was discontinued in October 1979, the railcars lost their previous route and came to the Untere Kochertalbahn on October 3, 1979 , where they took over all traffic and thus replaced the T 06 diesel railcar . The Scharfenberg couplings were replaced by normal pulling and pushing devices .

After the closure of the Lower Kochertal Railway, the two diesel multiple units were sold to WEBA on September 6, 1996. Both railcars were modernized in the Gmeinder factory, the T 23 railcar was converted to the VS 23 control car , the T 24 car was renamed VT 24. The set was used on the Daadetalbahn between Betzdorf and Daaden in school traffic, mostly together with the WEBA railcar 628 677 . Due to the lack of suspension, they earned the nickname "Rüttelplatte" here.

In the meantime, the vehicles have been sold to the IGEBA engineering company in Krumbach and left the Westerwald in September 2009 .
