Western Saimaa

The administrative community Westsaimaa ( Finnish Länsi-Saimaan seutukunta ) is a former administrative community ( seutukunta ) of the Finnish landscape of South Karelia . It covered the western part of the Saimaa lake area. At the beginning of 2009 the administrative community Westsaimaa was affiliated to the administrative community Lappeenranta .

The following six cities and municipalities belonged to the Westsaimaa administrative community :

• Lemi
• Luumäki
• Savitaipale
• Suomenniemi
• Taipal Saari
• Ylmaa
