Wet is a song by the US rapper Snoop Dogg . It was released on December 13, 2010 as the lead single from his album Doggumentary and was originally intended for Prince Williams' bachelorette party. In the German MediaControl / GfK single charts, the Californian is particularly successful with duets and collaborations. For all five songs that he has placed in the top ten so far, colleagues have always been on board. The remix of his track Wet achieved the highest chart position of such a collaboration . The French star DJ David Guetta took on the hit and reached second place with Sweat in April / May 2011 for four weeks.

Content and composition

The more successful remix by French DJ David Guetta contains influences from the genres of electro , house , pop and rap.

The song Wet covers the same subjects as most of Snoop Dogg's songs. Dogg talks to a woman about sex games, which she refuses. Snoop Dogg tries to impress the woman by complimenting her and telling her that he's always been a great guy.

The lyrics for Sweat are very similar. Some words and paraphrases are censored, otherwise the lyrics are largely identical. Snoop Dogg and The Cataracs wrote the lyrics and David Guetta produced the song.

Music video

background

The music video for Wet was produced by Snoop Dogg and Paul Hunter. It includes guest appearances by Dr. Dre and Chad Hugo and plays in a hotel suite. Snoop Dogg goes to Prince Williams' bachelorette party with many women and animates the people. The video was released in Germany from the age of 16.

action

The video for Wet was published in January 2011 and shows Snoop Dogg and some strippers in the "wet suite" in the whirlpool. While they loll around and Dogg repeats the words "Oh god" ("Oh my God"), he calls Prince Harry and was invited by him to a party. Later you see a stripper with Snoop Dogg in an ice desert and two half-naked men with Prince Harry. Finally the video fades and the words “to be continued” can be read.
