The Wharf Point (from English wharf , quay, landing stage ) is a headland on the island of Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It is located on the west side of the Azorella Peninsula and marks the eastern limit of the entrance from the Atlas Roads into the Atlas Cove .
The headland was used by ships of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions as a landing stage, which is what gave it its name.
