Whatever (English for: " Whatever ") is a song and an EP by the German rapper and singer Cro . The song was released on June 28, 2013 and is also included on the studio album Raop +5 .

Cro raps the lyrics from the perspective of a lyric self . In the intro, he says that he has had the worst week of his life, spent all his money and cheated on his wife. After the exclamation Whatever , the chorus begins, in which it says that he feels free, doesn't want to go home and doesn't care what happens tomorrow. In the first verse, Cro emphasizes the feeling of freedom and raps about a party night at the club. The second stanza is about the morning after when he wakes up to see all the women sleeping in the house and doesn't know where he is. After he got up, he immediately started drinking alcohol again and was looking forward to the next evening.

Music video
The music video shot by Ramon Rigoni and Stefan Tauber premiered on June 21, 2013 on YouTube . It starts with Cro walking around the house the morning after a night of partying and taking his panda mask from an aquarium between the sleeping party guests - mostly women . Now the plot changes to the outside, where Cro drives with friends in a Mercedes-Benz of the 123 series . During the rest of the video, flashbacks from the celebration are shown next to these two scenes. In the end, the car breaks down and is destroyed by Cro and his friends.

Cover design
The EP cover shows Cro with his typical panda mask on his head. He is wearing a white T-shirt with the dark gray letters Cro and Whatever . The background of the picture consists of painted flowers of various colors.
Chart successes and awards
Whatever rose to number 1 in the German single charts in the 29th week of 2013 , making it Cro's first single to top the charts in this country. For the next two weeks, it was ranked 3, before moving to 4; 5; 6; 7 and 10 fell, and after 29 weeks the song left the top 100. In Austria the song took 3rd place and 6th place in Switzerland. The sales of the EP were added up with the individual downloads of the title track. Whatever received a platinum record in Germany for more than 300,000 copies sold .
