Easy (English for: " Einfach ") is a song by the German rapper and singer Cro . The song was released on November 23, 2011 and appeared a little later for free on the artist 's mixtape of the same name. On March 23, 2012 it was finally released as the first commercial single from Cro's first solo album Raop . Easybecame Cro's first commercially successful hit and reached number 2 in Germany and number 4 in the singles charts in Austria. In both countries as well as in Switzerland, the song stayed in the charts for more than 40 weeks. According to the record awards, the title has sold a total of over 510,000 times.

At the beginning of the song, Cro extols his rap skills by comparing himself to Jay-Z and saying that he produces his instrumentals himself. Then the topic changes to the relationship with a woman and the artist names aspects that would move him to flee from her. This includes marriage and pregnancy. Finally he flees from her and is happy that she is no longer there.
In the text, the word Easy appears repeatedly in different contexts. So every verse ends with a word that is based on this one. For example, AC / DC and shoot them become the words AC / D-Easy and sch-Easy . The song does not have a refrain.

Cro produced the beat for Easy himself, using a sample of the song Sunny by Bobby Hebb , which he also used as a guide . The song's harmonious ostinato also follows the first eight bars of Sunny .

Music video
The music video, shot by Harris Hodovic and Patrick Kamal, premiered on November 23, 2011 on YouTube . It shows a woman, played by the model Sula Starridou, who raps the lyrics of the song lip-synchronously and walks through an apartment in which new situations based on the lyrics are presented. Then the location changes to the outside, where the woman continues to rap on a skate field and while riding a bicycle. With around 60 million views (as of July 2019), the video is one of the most watched German rap videos on YouTube.

The single entered the German charts at number 2 in the 15th calendar week of 2012 and was at number 7 in the following weeks; 5 and 4. In total, the song stayed in the top 100 for 47 weeks, eight weeks of which in the top 10. In Austria the song reached position 4 and in Switzerland position 22.
