Whippersnapper (literally: young badger; young boy ) was a punk rock band from Atlanta (USA), founded in 1995 , which played melodic hardcore . The band was disbanded in 2003.

General information

The band released three studio albums, the first two on Lobster Records and the last on Fueled By Framework Records. The band became best known through the involvement of ex- Lagwagon member Shawn Dewey as the producer of the first album. The second album The Long Walk was released two years later. It made it into the top 40 weekly college radio charts in the United States. The last album followed two years later. According to both critics and commercial success, the band's second album was the most successful until they broke up. However, that was not enough to penetrate the circle of the better-known melodic hardcore bands such as Lagwagon , Millencolin or Bad Religion . The reasons for the band's breakup are unknown.
