Whitey Bimstein (born January 10, 1897 in Lower East Side , Manhattan , New York City , New York , USA - † July 13, 1969 ) was an American boxer , boxing coach and cutman . As a coach, he is considered one of the most remarkable.

After 70 fights, Bimstein hung up his gloves and served as a trainer in the United States Navy .

When he left the Navy, he decided to become a full-time coach. He partnered with Ray Arcel in 1925 and together with him produced some major champions. Their partnership ended in 1934 due to the economic times.

In 2006 Bimstein was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame .
