Wictor Petersson (born May 1, 1998 ) is a Swedish shot putter .

Athletic career

Wictor Petersson gained his first international experience in 2015 when he won the bronze medal in the shot put at the Youth World Championships in Cali with a width of 21.56 m with the 5 kg ball and with the 1.5 kg discus with 53, 02 m came eleventh. The following year he won the silver medal at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 20.65 m with the 6 kg ball and was fourth in the discus throw with 61.23 m. In 2017, he finished sixth and eighth at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto with 19.80 m and 54.90 m. Two years later he won the bronze medal in the shot put at the U23 European Championships in Gävle with 19.53 m behind the Poles Konrad Bukowiecki and Leonardo Fabbri from Italy. In addition, he qualified in the shot put for the first time for the World Championships in Doha , where he did not reach the final with 20.31 m .

In 2019 Petersson became the Swedish champion in the shot put outdoors and in 2019 and 2020 also indoors.
