Weight slip

A weighing slip or a weighing note is a document that is issued when vehicles are weighed on calibrated scales . Weight notes are in the freight used in the transport of bulk materials and liquids at the collection point , the weight of delivery determine and the supplier to receive acknowledgment . They are used, among other things, in tank farms , silos , landfills and in road construction .

The weight of the material or the goods is usually determined on a weighbridge . To do this, the transport vehicle must be weighed twice, once before and once after unloading. The weighing slip then shows the gross weight of the first weighing and the tare or empty weight of the vehicle from the second weighing . The net weight of the delivery as the difference is either printed out or can be calculated from these two values.

The document can serve as the basis for an invoice , but does not contain the price of the goods. This is specified in a separate contract . In addition to the weight, the standard information on a weighing slip is the names of the supplier and recipient, the description of the goods to be weighed, the vehicle registration number , date and time, a serial number and the signature of the weigher.
