Wiehagen is a district of the municipality of Wickede (Ruhr) in the Soest district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Wiehagen formed an independent community until 1969.

geography

Wiehagen is located in the northwest of the municipality of Wickede (Ruhr) and has grown together with the core town of Wickede. The district is originally dominated by agriculture and has been enlarged by several housing estates since the 1960s.

history

Since the 19th century Wiehagen was a rural community in the Office Werl of Soest . On July 1, 1969 Wiehagen became part of the municipality of Wickede (Ruhr) through the Soest / Beckum law .
