The Wielka Żabia Szpara cave is a cave in the Siedem Granatów massif above the Meerauge mountain lake in the Dolina Rybiego Potoku valley in the Polish High Tatras .
Location and description
The cave is approximately 36 meters long and approximately 26 meters deep. It has an opening at an altitude of 1650 m npm . The cave was discovered by A. Pawlak in the early 1970s and described by A. Lichota and W. Cywiński in 1998/1999.
etymology
The name Wielka Żabia Szpara can be translated as large frog column .
tourism
There is no hiking trail leading to the cave. Permission from the administration of the Tatra National Park is required to enter the cave .
