The Jaskinia Wołoszyńska Wyżnia Cave is a cave in the Wołoszyn massif in the Dolina Białki valley in the Polish High Tatras . It is about 20 meters above the Jaskinia Wołoszyńska Niżnia cave .

Location and description

The cave is approximately 44 meters long and approximately 10 meters deep. It has an opening at an altitude of 1150  m npm , which is not far from the Hala Wołoszyńska pasture . The cave was discovered by Stefan Zwoliński in 1950 and described by Kazimierz Kowalski in 1953 . In the cave there is a small stream that flows in several cascades (partly also underground) and emerges outside at the cave entrance.

etymology

The name Jaskinia Wołoszyńska Niżnia can be translated as Upper Wołoszyn Cave or Upper Cave in Wołoszyń .

tourism

There is no hiking trail leading to the cave. Permission from the administration of the Tatra National Park is required to enter the cave .
