Wiesław Chrzanowski (born December 15, 1880 in Gruszczyn near Schwersenz , † December 5, 1940 in Warsaw ) was a Polish mechanical engineer, university professor and Christian national politician ( People's National Union ).

Chrzanowski studied at the Royal Technical University in Charlottenburg and received his doctorate there in 1910 with a dissertation on the speed control of steam hoisting machines . From then on he dealt with the construction of heat engines . From 1912 to 1919 he was a professor at the Lviv Polytechnic and then at the Warsaw University of Technology . From 1932 to 1933 he was also rector of the Technical University of Warsaw.

From June 26 to November 26, 1920 Chrzanowski was Minister for Industry and Commerce in the first cabinet of Wincenty Witos and in the cabinet of Władysław Grabski .

His son of the same name became Sejm Marshal (President of Parliament) in the Third Republic .
