The Wiesbaden Photo Days are a cultural institution that has been organized by Wiesbaden galleries with the support of the state capital Wiesbaden since 2002 .

The founder of the Photo Days was the gallery owner Reinhard Berg, who runs a gallery for photography in Wiesbaden . His aim was 'to make sophisticated artistic photography accessible to a broader and larger audience beyond the flood of images and the mainstream'.

The photo days take place in various galleries in Wiesbaden, and savings banks, the Wiesbaden Free Art School and the Wiesbaden Women's Museum also participate .

Rotation

The Photo Days have so far taken place annually or every two years from 2005, but will change between the cities of Wiesbaden, Darmstadt and Frankfurt am Main in an annual rhythm from 2019 .

In 2017, two prizes, each endowed with 1,500 €, an audience award and a jury award were awarded.

The sponsors of the Wiesbaden Fototage next to the Cultural Office of the City of Wiesbaden include the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art , the SV Sparkasse insurance and other Wiesbaden companies.
