The Wiesnet-ice stream is a 24 km long river of ice in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . On the Bryan coast , west of the Allison Peninsula, it flows into the Venable Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2003 after Donald R. Wiesnet of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration , a pioneer in the 1970s and 1980s in using remote sensing data to create maps of Antarctica .
