Viktor Petrovich Botchanzev
Viktor Petrovich Botschanzew ( Russian Виктор Петрович Бочанцев ., Scientific transliteration Viktor Petrovich Bočancev , internationally accepted spelling Victor Petrovich Botschantzev ; born October 7 . Jul / 20th October 1910 greg. In Werny ; † the 30th August 1990 in Leningrad ) was a Soviet Botanist . His research area included the seed plants, especially the cruciferous family ( Brassicaceae ) and goosefoot family ( Chenopodiaceae ). He combined or rewrote about 571 plant species. A large part of his scientific work took place at the Botanical Institute VL Komarov in Leningrad .
His botanical author's abbreviation is “ Botsch. ".
